University of Surrey Biomedical Engineering BEng (Hons) or MEng
Our BEng and MEng Biomedical Engineering courses are taught by leading academics, drawing on more than 50 years’ experience of training biomedical engineers. You’ll have the opportunity to take a Professional Training placement at organisations like GE Healthcare, DePuy Synthes, 3M, Abbott, Renishaw and the NHS. Our BEng and MEng courses are accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). What you will study With a strong focus on clinical applications, our biomedical engineering courses explore a broad curriculum. This includes human movement, biosensors, prosthesis design, biomedical signal processing and implant technology, among other topics. You can apply to study for either a BEng or MEng (Master of Engineering). The MEng builds on the BEng course with a masters year and is a direct route to a masters qualification. Depending on your progress, you may have the option to switch to a BEng or MEng during your studies.
